Technical scope

Proxy and Distributed Monitoring

Distribute collection across POPs and remote sites with local buffering, proxy groups, load balancing, HA, and security.

  • Distribute collection across POPs and remote sites with local buffering, proxy groups, load balancing, HA, and security.
  • Validate the exact installed Zabbix release before applying version-sensitive configuration or upgrade steps.
  • Use least privilege for credentials, API access, integrations, and remote execution paths.
  • Capture a healthy baseline and timestamps before changing thresholds, processes, or retention.
  • Test both failure and recovery paths in a controlled environment before production rollout.
2026 editorial baseline

Zabbix 7.4 supported branch

This portal uses the supported Zabbix 7.4 documentation as its production baseline. Zabbix 8.0 is still treated as a development branch here until the stable release is published and reviewed.

The English edition preserves the operational structure but this deep module remains flagged for final editorial equivalence review after the Systems migration.
Production workflow

Validate by evidence

  1. Define scope, owner, expected state, and service impact.
  2. Capture current values, timestamps, logs, queue state, and topology.
  3. Change one variable at a time and retain a rollback path.
  4. Test failure and recovery before considering the change complete.
